1) Despite the hyper vet, my gut tells me that Augie's tumor is not malignant. I'll go ahead and do the surgery to find out, but in the meantime, that little nugget of worry is getting tossed back on the shelf for later.
2) I'm 80% sure I want to do the "slow-kill" method for the heartworms. This involves a round of antibiotics followed by Augie's regular heartworm preventative pills. Based on my estimation, if she was actually tested in December and the result was negative, combined with the vet saying that it was a 'faint positive,' and the fact that Augie's been receiving the preventative for the last seven, if not twelve months, her infection should be on the lesser side and the worms (gross) have not been able to reproduce from the original infection. Unfortunately, the life of a worm can last anywhere from 2-5 years, so we'll see. Should I decide to do the arsenic injections, I can do that at anytime.
"Mommy no worry. Augie going be just fine."
It looks like the type of case a super-professional lawyer/entrepreneur would have, right?
Hopefully, the sleeve will not be afraid of my new mouse, heh-heh.
In other news, I've been eating really well, getting plenty of rest, and partaking in almost no booze for the past week, so I feel great physically - which is nice considering that little Friday stressor. However, I might have developed an addiction for fresh strawberries and pre-prepared salads from my grocery store.
Also got an email this weekend to pick up a temporary side project for my work which will likely cover any Augie health-related fees and the cost of the new computer. Yipppeee! Anastasia, Inc. is on fire this year. Woot!
Hoping that the new 'band' thing works out. My current 'band' meets on Sundays, and it's kind of a mess for my schedule. Not only is Sunday technically a work day for me, but Sunday has always historically been a day where changing out of my pajamas is...optional. Looking forward to maybe returning to that habit. (Band is quotes because a) we pretty much just together in each other's living rooms and b) we're all still learning in the instrument department.)
And that's all we got tonight. Have a great week, y'all!
