Babysis: So, I totally heard 'Wagon Wheel' on the way home last time I visited.
Babysis: Yeah, I even bought it.
(Babysis pulls it up on her phone.)
Me: WTF is that!?!
Babysis: Wagon Wheel! By Darius Rucker?
Me: AFGLKGAS(E(#@#(%U*! Incorrect!
(Busts out the Old Crow Medicine Show version)
Babysis: I think I like the Darius Rucker version better.
Me: I think I'm going to go throw up now.
A few hours later...
MyfriendJ (texting): Out tonight I heard "Don't Think Twice" and was singing/crying. My boyfriend didn't know the song.
Me: Wh-what?!?! I have three versions of that song - Bob, PP&M, and Susan Tedeschi. Love that song.
Me: Have to admit. Little bit stunned over here. Might be a deal breaker for the BF.
J: It was the Bob Dylan version, in case you were wondering. I was like, "PPM is the best" - which is when he explained that he hadn't heard it before.
Me: Susan's version is pretty awesome, but yes, I immediately put the PP&M version on the ipod when I received your first text. :-)
J: I need to hear Susan's. Is it with the Trucks too?
Me: No, it's a PRE-Trucks album. Also includes a sweet version of Angel from Montgomery by John Prine.
(A few hours later...)
J: Oh yeah, just found it on Spotify.
