Ok, so I'll admit, I don't even remember *what* the original article was about because it's the comments that are really getting me.
Browse through them, and you'll find a ton that are grossly sexist and offensive (to both genders), but the ones that seemed to horrify me the most, that shocked me beyond belief are the ones where:
certain men seem to think women are responsible for the recession - because if women didn't work we wouldn't have this whole unemployment problem.
Again, wow.
Shit, with that logic we could just fix the unemployment problem by chopping off the hands of every other person.

Top 25 Most Played Songs on My Ipod…
So, I won the ipod a year ago, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. But it wasn’t until a few days ago that I looked to see what I listened to the most.
I have to say, some were surprising while others were downright embarrassing, so without further ado…
25. Suerte by Shakira
This would be the Spanish version of Whenever, Wherever.
24. Are You Out There by Dar Williams
This song is off of a Abercrombie and Fitch compilation album that was given to me 10+ years ago.
23. Linger by Johnatha Brooke
Damn good song.
22. (We’re Not) the Jet Set by John Prine and Iris Dement
OMG, JP & ID are playing at the House of Blues in New Orleans this weekend, and if I were in a serious relationship, I would have called up my partner a few days ago and said, “Hey Babe, I just got us a cheap flight on Southwest and we’re spending the weekend in Louisiana.”
21. Going to California by Led Zeppelin
20. Veronica by Elvis Costello
I loved this song as a kid and still love it today.
19. Morning Has Broken by Cat Stevens
My daddy used to play this on guitar all the time.
18. In Spite of Ourselves by John Prine and Iris DeMent
Long-time readers will remember this as the song that Musician Boy and I used to sing together. Did I mention John Prine is coming to Austin in February? I can’t decide whether or not to go. I mean, he’s getting old. How many more opportunities will I have?
17. Start Wearing Purple by Gogol Bordello
I would have to agree.
16. You’re Aging Well by Dar Williams
A beautiful song that tells you not to worry so much. Sadly, I don't think Dar ever plays Texas.
15. How Good it Can Get by The Wallflowers
14. J’traine des Pieds by Olivia Ruiz
This song was all over the radio when I lived in Paris.
13. Poker Face by Lady Gaga
Well, that was embarrassing.
12. She’s Electric by Oasis
“She’s got one in the oven, and it’s nothing to do with me.”
11. Barbie Girl by Aqua
This was a stress reliever during the bar exam.
10. Alleluia by Dar Williams
We’ve got a lot of Dar, huh? And we’re not done yet, but for the record, I have 900 songs on my ipod and only about ten of them are Dar Williams.
9. Dragostea din Tea by Ozone
This was my stress reliever during the Barbri class. Shudder at the memory.
8. When Sal’s Burned Down by Dar Williams
One of my favorite songs of all time, and I’ve never met a guy who would learn to play it for me on the guitar. Today I looked up the origin of the song and apparently Sal’s was a bar…and the last person to play there was John Prine.
7. Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show
6. So What by P!nk
I love the part where she calls him a tool.
5. Home by Michael Buble
Don’t. Tell. Anyone.
4. Womanizer by Britney Spears
How the eff did this even make the list, much less be so high? I bought it when I first tried to quit smoking and would listen to it as I walked the stairs in my office building trying to avoid nicotine. I must have walked a lot of stairs.
3. Mambo No. 5 by Lou Bega
Not ashamed to admit it. This song is so peppy.
2. See the World by Gomez
And the #1 most played song on Ana’s ipod is………………….
So... WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 25?

Vote For Namby!
The Namby Pamby Lawyer (formerly Law Student) is a finalist in the ABA Journal Blawg 100. Congrats NP.
Namby's been around for-evah - and unlike me, he still actually writes about law stuff...and also, unlike me, he's managed to maintain his wit since graduating from law school.
VOTE HERE.
Oh wait, I just realized that the ABA wants people to register a login in order to vote. (Lame) No wonder only ten people seem to have voted. Hmm, well, good job any way, Namby, and for those of you who want to create a login - go vote.
