Out with the Old, In with the New...

I think any time you experience a life milestone, become bored, or start sleeping with someone new you should get new bedding.

Given that all of the above have happened in the last year I finally made the plunge.

(Okay maybe I was really bored one Friday afternoon and went a little crazy shopping online.)

At any rate, here's the before...

And here's the after:

For the record, we went from light blue down comforter with denim accent to navy quilt, white sheets accented with blue stripe, and monogramming. As you can see, the care bear remains.

I promise to write something substantive soon. It's just that there's so much to discuss - life after law school (aka as a 'professional'), the new man, and my foray into extreme self-indulgence, i.e. therapy. (I know it's weak, but as it turns out, quitting smoking was much harder on me emotionally than I expected.)

Some things like Care Bears and blue as your favorite color just shouldn't change regardless of whether you're a student or not.

I like it! It looks very calm and classy and like a nice place to retreat. I've always loved monogramming and I just realized I don't own a single monogrammed thing. We're slowly adding items to my "redoing the master bedroom and bathroom" shelf in the closet, perhaps a monogrammed accent towel or two? Hmmm...

Therapy is not weak, it is strong. Good for you, girl. And I think your bed is very pretty.

There's no shame in therapy, whether it's talk or retail. Despite what people say, it is not self-indulgent to take care of yourself... it's more like self-preservation!

Everyone needs therapy of some sort! Redecorating my own bedroom has been part of mine, much more solace ... next, a man :) or a carebear. Ciao!
